Treatment philosophy a commitment to caring
For a variety of reasons, many youth today feel the pressures and pain of abuse, neglect, dependency, or other stressors, and may respond with anger, violence, self-abusive and/or antisocial behaviors. The St. Cloud Children's Home is dedicated to helping this distressed population of youth.
Treatment is based on the premise that students are coping with their lives and cannot move ahead while living at home or in a less restrictive setting. We help them understand and adjust to the problems in their lives, and learn to relate to others in a positive and meaningful way. We strive to return them to society as productive, contributing members.

We believe that our primary responsibility and commitment is to respond to the needs of persons entrusted to our care. We will respond to these needs utilizing a holistic treatment approach that is family focused. We will be respectful of each person’s uniqueness.

We will strive to be accountable to those we serve. Not only will we remain open to scrutiny, but we will also encourage it through active solicitation of feedback. An emphasis on quality will be the basis for our on-going self-assessment. Established and recognized standards of excellence will be the benchmark of our evaluative efforts.
