St. Cloud Children's Home.The St. Cloud Children's Home is an adolescent treatment center for at-risk youth from many different cultures and between the ages of 8 years and 18 years. Their treatment includes academics; individual, group & family therapy; recreational therapy; vocational guidance; and spiritual development. |
Primary Duties: |
The St. Cloud Children's Home is in need of mentors from a variety of different cultures to mentor these youth into healthy individuals with an understanding of their own cultural values and history. A Diversity Mentor is a caring, committed person who can listen well, encourage, challenge, guide and support the youth and provide them with positive role modeling. Whether you spend time teaching your favorite hobby to that child or guiding them through tough times, it's the caring attention that means the most!! Diversity Mentors that are needed include African-American, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Hmong, American Indian, Hispanic, Somali, and Central-European. |
