Personal Contact Callers

Life Transitions:

A program for widowed, divorced, and separated persons, and children experienceing change and losss. This program offers support groups, retreats, counseling and outreach services.

Primary Duties:
 Personal contact callers are individuals who have previously experienced a death of a spouse and would like to contact recently widowed individuals to check in with them and offer a listening ear. Phone calling is done from your home and callers are typically asked to make 5-10 calls over a span of 2 months. Training is provided and a letter will be sent prior to the call notifying the person that they will be receiving a call. Calls typically will last from 5-10 minutes with the possibility of lasting longer. Calls made by the caller will be local calls so there will be no long distance fees.

Experience: 

1) Experienced death of a spouse.
2) Ability to listen and offer support to someone recently widowed
