Renee Fasteen was recently promoted as the new manager of the Intensive Treatment Unit in Fergus Falls. She shared a bit about herself and her background:
I am originally from Detroit Lakes Minnesota. I received my B.A. in psychology from Moorhead State University and my MSW from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Following the completion of my MSW, in 2001, I moved to Auburn NY, which is in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. While in New York I worked as a residential therapist at Cayuga Home for Children.
I returned to Minnesota in July of 2006 to be closer to my parents and family. I began working as the therapist at the ITU in August of 2006.
When I have spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends in Detroit Lakes, as well as reading, working out, art projects of all kinds and baking bread. I also acquired an interest in wine while living in New York. During my travels to the East Coast and soon the West Coast, I enjoy visiting wineries and finding new favorites.
I am looking forward to my new position at the ITU and the challenges that it will bring.
