When Sylvia* became involved in the care of her developmentally disabled sister ...she saw first-hand how staff at Catholic Charities' Mother Teresa, St. Luke's, and St. Anne's adult foster care homes worked to create a home environment for the residents. She saw that for her sister, "going home" truly meant returning to a residence where she was comfortable, secure, and where support staff treated her sister with dignity and respected her home as if they were the guests. Sylvia can "absolutely recommend" Catholic Charities to anyone who needs to place their disabled loved one outside of the home and into adult care.
