Adopt a Family for the 2019 Holiday Season through Catholic Charities Share the Spirit Program

For many local families in Central Minnesota, it’s difficult to find joy in the holiday season while struggling to provide a unique holiday experience. You can help ease this worry for families in need by participating in Catholic Charities Share the Spirit program.

Share the Spirit matches families in need during the holiday season with individuals, families, and organizations who wish to help. All adopted families are nominated by area social workers or education professionals.

“By partnering with local professionals, we’re able to identify and lift up local families in need during the holiday season,” said Sheri Brown, Share the Spirit program coordinator. “When you adopt a family, you receive a list of three wants and three needs for each household member; families of all sizes are available for Share the Spirit adoption. We ask that donors spend about $70 per family member, which includes $60 for gifts and $10 for a grocery gift card.”

To adopt a Share the Spirit family, visit www.ccstcloud.org/share-the-spirit and complete and submit the Adopt a Family online donor form. Gift-wrapped items are to be delivered to the Sauk Rapids Government Center by Monday, December 9, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
