The Foster Grandparent Program is currently looking for volunteers. 

The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors, ages 55 and over, the opportunity to work with students in local schools, or other non-profit agencies with children who need extra assistance. Typically school “Grandmas” and “Grandpas” work one-on-one with kids who need some extra support and love.

To join the Foster Grandparent Program volunteers need to pass a background check and be willing to serve 260 hours a year (averages to 8 hours a week during the school year). Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement and those who are income eligible receive a tax free stipend. No education experience needed to be a Foster Grandparent, we are looking for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
